On October 10th, 2009 at the CCANZ annual conference in Rotorua , Nauhria were awarded the prestigeous Monte Craven Architectural Award commendation for this outstanding new MONARC precast head office development.
The construction of Nauhria’s new office and reinforcing factory beside its existing precast operation in Manukau was an essential progression for the Nauhria group in achieving their immediate and longterm strategic objectives.
This provided both companies with a better commercial position and stronger competitive market edge.
The architectural solution extends concrete functionality into areas beyond Portland grey structure and mass and stimulates additional consideration of concrete as an alternative solution to everyday architectural methods of decoration, ambience and utility.
Harnessing the latest in both admixtures and European decorative precast technology MONARC panels were manufactured delivering a showcase of colour, original surface textures and ultra fine detailing in full grandeur.
Setting a new benchmark in precast this project reflects outstanding aesthetic achievement and promotes concrete as a preferred construction medium demonstrating customised concrete formulations, oxide blends and creative originality.
